Spring has officially sprung in my Easter Village, and it's a pastel-colored wonderland of festive fun! I used the Department 56 Snow Village Easter Collection to create my Easter village—a charming display full of whimsical details, bright florals, and, of course, plenty of bunnies.
The foundation of my village starts with multiple levels built from 1" and 2" styrofoam boards. The Happy Easter House is a cheerful centerpiece, while Lily’s Nursery & Gifts and the Easter Sweets House add a mix of springtime charm and sweet treats. The Chocolate Bunny Factory is hard at work making delicious chocolate rabbits, and the Easter Egg Painting Studio is bustling with artists preparing for the big day.
No Easter village would be complete without a gathering place for celebration, and the Happy Easter Church is the perfect spot for Sunday services. Up a flight of stairs, the Easter Bunny Gazebo makes for a delightful meeting place, where little ones excitedly wait for a visit with the Easter Bunny himself!
I added a bubbling creek that meanders through the upper section of the village before cascading into a waterfall that flows into the pond below. To bring this water feature to life, I used poured resin, creating a realistic, glassy effect that adds both movement and charm to the scene. Across a small footbridge over the brook is the Year Round Holiday House, a cozy retreat that fits in perfectly no matter the season—though in spring, it's decorated with a floral wreath and a lit Easter Bunny.
To add even more whimsy, I hand-carved cobblestone pathways and painted them to resemble pieces of Lucky Charms cereal—a colorful and playful detail that makes the village feel extra magical! Right next to the Happy Easter House, I planted a carrot garden, the perfect spot for the Easter Bunny to gather his favorite snack before the big holiday.
Bringing even more color to the display, I placed pink and mint-colored trees throughout the village, adding a soft and dreamy touch that enhances the playful Easter theme. These pastel trees and colorful cobblestones make it feel like a true storybook scene.
An Easter celebration calls for plenty of festive fun and lively activities! The animated Easter Egg Hunt is full of excited children searching for hidden treasures, while the One Hop Walk and Dressed in Our Easter Best figures showcase families enjoying a beautiful springtime stroll. And let’s not forget the Easter Village Express, chugging along to deliver Easter goodies to every little boy and girl.
I’ve collected the entire Department 56 Snow Village Easter Collection—well, almost. The Easter Flower Shop is the one elusive piece missing from my pastel paradise. With any luck (and some not-so-subtle hints), the Easter Bunny will finally get his act together and drop it in my basket this year—or he might just find himself reassigned to egg-painting duty! 🐰🎨😂
